Avianca will launch a new nonstop flight frequency on the Bogota-
Havana-Bogota route. The airline will offer more travel options for
inbound and outbound tourism between Latin America and the Caribbean.
This link between Colombia and Cuba will be operated by Airbus A319
aircraft with capacity for 120 passengers, 12 in Business Class and 108
in Economy Class, on Mondays and Fridays.
The outbound flight will leave the Eldorado Airport, Bogota, at 9:05
a.m. in the morning and lands at Jose Marti Airport at 1:31 p.m. The
inbound Havana-Bogota flight is programmed for takeoff at 6:15 p.m.,
arriving in the Colombian capital at 8:30 p.m.
"With the launch of the Bogota-Havana-Bogota route, Avianca aims to
consolidate the connectivity options for the tourist market in Latin
America, providing leisure and recreation destination alternatives in
the Caribbean," said Fabio Villegas Ramírez, the airline's president, in
a written statement. "We are delighted to offer our clients this new
route to Havana, a destination renowned for its history and natural
attractions."
The flight schedules, that are now available in booking systems, will
allow passengers coming from the Caribbean access Avianca connections to
the principal cities in Colombia, as well as the main capitals in the
region, including: Caracas, Quito, Panama, and Sao Paulo, among others.
