"Cuba is planning to open a direct flight with China," said Felix Raul
Rojas Cruz, Cuban Consul General in Guangzhou at a press conference on
Cuba's tourism today (Oct 18), but he didn't reveal the details.
According to him, Cuba has rich travel resources and about 1,596,166
travelers visit Cuba in 2010. To attract more Chinese visitors, Cuba has
made different travel plans according to the traditional and the
uprising markets. At present, there are 50,000 guest rooms for travel
service in Cuba, 65% of them belong to four-star or five-star level. And
20,000 more will be built in the coming five years. Besides, Cuba has
signed Investment Protection Agreement with 71 countries to avoid double
taxation. On visa application, Guangdong tourists only need to present
visa application form, passport, airplane tickets and Travel Accident
Insurance.
