Cuba lands first direct flight from Poland
CUBA STANDARD — A Boeing 787 operated by Polish flag carrier LOT landed
in Varadero Saturday, marking the opening of the first non-stop route
from Poland.
The bi-monthly flights from Warsaw to Varadero, chartered by the Polish
subsidiary of TUI and Polish tour operator Rainbow Tours, are scheduled
for five months, through March 2014, state news agency ACN reported.
The inaugural flight brought 250 Polish tourists.
