MIAMI -- The daughter of a prominent Cuban dissident who died in a car
crash will talk about her family's decision to seek refuge in the U.S.
Rosa Maria Paya and her mother are expected to speak with reporters in
Miami Tuesday.
Paya traveled throughout Europe and the U.S. in April to push for an
international investigation into her father's death.
Oswaldo Paya was killed in a car crash in 2012. His daughter says
witness accounts, text messages and other evidence raise questions about
the Cuban government's official account.
Rosa Maria Paya returned to Cuba, even though she said her family had
been threatened.
A spokesman for the Christian Liberation Movement Oswaldo Paya started
said the family was settling in Miami as "political refugees" after
their arrival in early June.
