According to the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, the two delegations will
hold a business forum on Thursday, where they will review their
commercial interests, seeking to promote bilateral ties.

The meeting takes place a few months after the visit to Belgium of Bruno
Rodriguez, Cuban minister of foreign affairs, as part of his tour of
several member countries of the European Union.

On that occasion, the Cuban foreign minister thanked Belgium for its
contribution to the negotiations Cuba and the European Union are
undertaking in search of new agreements on economic and trade cooperation.

Rodriguez also supported the development of ties with Brussels, and the
need to expand bilateral trade, an interest on which they should make
progress on Thursday in the business missions.

Representatives of the Caribbean nation will present to visitors the new
investment opportunities that Cuba offers to foreign capital in key
sectors of its economy and particularly in the Special Development Zone
at Mariel.
