Members of the Cuban dissident group Ladies in White on Wednesday were
subjected to harassment and insults by Cuban government supporters as
they tried to meet at a crowded point in Havana for their traditional
march on International Human Rights Day, Efe learned.

About 20 Ladies in White came to the spot in small groups, but they were
rousted from there by the authorities and placed in police cars while
several hundred government supporters surrounded them and hurled insults
such as "mercenaries" and "parasites" and shouted revolutionary slogans
like "Cuba yes, Yankees no" and "Viva Fidel, Viva Raul," referring to
iconic Cuban leader Fidel Castro and his brother, President Raul Castro.
