Russia, Cuba to Spur Defense Cooperation
TEHRAN (FNA)- Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces
Valery Gerasimov arrived in Cuba to discuss expansion of defense
cooperation between Moscow and Havana.
Reports by the Russian Defense Ministry said during his working visit
General Gerasimov will meet with Cuban defense ministry officials to
discuss a wide range of issues, including repair and modernization of
the earlier supplied military equipment and personnel training.
General Gerasimov will visit a radio-electronic center and will examine
the Cuban industry's capabilities for upgrading armored vehicles, the
Voice of Russia reported.
Gerasimov's visit is expected to spur bilateral ties in defense and
technology.
